Your Scenario

Instructor Rodriguez writes:

Academic and professional healthcare writing requires consistent APA formatting. This assignment gives you hands-on practice creating the key components of an APA paper: a title page, a header with page numbers, and a reference list entry.

“APA formatting is the standard in healthcare academic writing. Every paper you write in this program — and every report you produce professionally — will need a properly formatted title page and references. Let's make sure you have it right from the start.”

Task 1 15 pts

Open Microsoft Word and create a new blank document.

Task 2 15 pts

Set up APA formatting: Times New Roman 12pt font, double-spaced (2.0), 1-inch margins on all sides.

Task 3 15 pts

Create an APA 7th edition Title Page with: paper title (bold, centered), your name, institution (Ultimate Medical Academy), course number (CI1000), instructor name, and due date.

Task 4 15 pts

Add a header with your last name and page number in the top-right corner. Use "Different First Page" so the title page header is blank.

Task 5 15 pts

On page 2, add a "References" heading (centered, bold). Create ONE correctly formatted APA 7th edition reference for a healthcare source of your choice (book, journal article, or website).

Task 6 15 pts

Save as Lastname_Firstname_CI1000_W4.docx and submit.
